In the role you'll:
Provide technical support and advice to colleagues when planning new development schemes.
Own our Employers Requirements and specifications to make sure they are just what we need, always under review and delivered.
Review our scheme proposals to get good value, making sure they are buildable and will be delivered to the highest quality.
Consult internal teams to ensure proposals meet the needs of the wider business.
Support our Project Managers by attending site visits to monitor quality and compliance.
Ensure we are receiving high quality service from consultants
Keep us safe by making sure we comply with all funding, legal, planning and contractual matters.
Manage warranty claims and subsequent works, including windows replacements and repairs, roof inspection and repairs, large scale remediation and structural issues.
Oversee the external wall survey programme for existing homes to identify buildings with significant fire safety defects including arranging surveys, interpreting
findings and reporting across the business, keeping customers up to date and implementing interim measures to keep them safe in their homes.
Identify suitable contractors to conduct defect remedial works and support the preparation of tender documentation ahead of procurement.
Support colleagues in other teams by providing updates and advice relating to defects, latent defects, fire safety and legislation and responding to leaseholder queries.
Make sure a high standard of health and safety is maintained, conduct site inspections, providing site safety reports for all non-s106 sites.
Support the team as we lead up to handover of new homes and beyond, making sure homes are built to plan and to the required high quality.

We're looking for someone with experience of:
Managing delivery and project handover, particularly quality of multiple large scale (20-400) residential development schemes over a number of years.
Working with a variety of different types of construction including traditional, light gauge steel frame and modular.
Working with developers, contractors and consultants.
Current building technologies and legislation.
Managing significant capital and operational budgets.
Managing a legal claim alongside the planning of a complex remediation project, making sure the right information is available at the right time.
It'd blow us away if you had:
Professional membership, ideally at Fellow level, of a construction related body e.g., RICS, RIBA, or CIOB.
A thorough knowledge of the external wall survey process for both new builds and existing homes.
