Job Title: Cleaning Operative
Location: Altham, Accrington
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary ongoing (based on business demand and requirements)
Pay term: Weekly, every Friday for the previous weeks hours
Job description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role involves providing high standards of cleanliness across designated areas, contributing to the overall presentation and hygiene of the workplace.
Key responsibilities:
• Cleaning office spaces, including desks, meeting rooms, and reception areas
• Maintaining cleanliness in communal areas such as corridors, stairwells, and kitchens
• Cleaning and sanitising toilet and washroom facilities
• Replenishing consumables (toilet rolls, hand towels, soap, etc.)
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste in line with site procedures
• Ensuring all cleaning is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Reporting any maintenance or hygiene issues to the appropriate team
• Using cleaning materials and equipment efficiently and safely
Requirements:
• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential (training will be provided)
• Good attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Understanding of COSHH regulations (desirable but not essential)
