Shekinah Christian Centre is a place that offers quiet and peaceful facilities for individuals and groups to come for retreat, quiet days, prayer meetings, conferences and events.
We are located on the narrow road between Newchurch-in-Pendle and Sabden Fold.(Transport is required)
Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a chef to work as part of a team to provide”home cooking”
for individuals and groups.This will require some evening and weekend shifts.
You will be working alongside volunteers at times and interacting with the guests.
Due to the small number of paid staff you will be expected to help with aspects of housekeeping at times (i.e. cleaning rooms after guests leave and remaking beds ensuring the main rooms of the Centre are clean and tidy.)
There are multiple facets involved in the running of Shekinah, and our ideal team member is someone who is willing to be involved with the different aspects.
Duties
Work to a professional standard in the kitchen - ideally trained to Level 2 Food hygiene. (Training can be given)
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Centre,
NB. A respect for the Christian faith would be a welcome attribute.
