We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Food and Safety-Quality Assurance Specialist to join our client bakery team- Polish Village Bread. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in our bakery products. This role will involve developing and implementing quality assurance procedures, conducting inspections and audits, and collaborating with production and management teams to uphold quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.
· Conduct routine inspections and audits of production processes, ingredients, and finished products to identify and address quality issues.
· Monitor and maintain quality control records, including temperature logs, product testing results, and sanitation reports.
· Collaborate with production staff to implement corrective actions and preventive measures to improve product quality and consistency.
· Train bakery staff on quality assurance procedures, food safety protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
· Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the quality and safety of raw materials and ingredients used in bakery production.
· Stay current with food safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and implement changes as necessary to maintain compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field preferred.
· Previous experience in a quality assurance role in a bakery or food manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
· Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP level 3 for manufacturing) and quality management systems.
· Knowledge and experience in working with food manufacturers with BRC certifications
· Food safety Level 3 or higher
· Familiarity with bakery production processes, ingredients, and equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
· Knowledge of Polish language preferred
