Crynodeb
To provide ward-based medical care with Consultant supervision for patients of the Major Trauma Rehabilitation Service (MTRS), focusing on the Major Trauma Rehabilitation Unit (MTRU). MTRU is a 10 bedded inpatient unit which opened in November 2017 to provide multidisciplinary specialist rehabilitation to patients after major trauma. It is one part of the RVI MTRS, which is designed to provide very early (from critical care onwards) rehabilitation assessment and also post-discharge specialist rehabilitation care for patients who have accessed the inpatient service.
