Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

What will you be doing?
You'll be carrying out panel modifications and have a good understanding of electrical drawings along with knowledge of water process and have experience with simulating plant process (i.e. Level controllers, flow meters etc).

You'll attend and contribute to internal, and occasionally, external progress meetings as well as participating in design co-ordination with other engineering disciplines and professionals.

We'll need you to install cable containment systems to a high standard safely. Install, gland, terminate cable systems mainly used in the industrial sector and Install electrical equipment to manufacturer’s instructions.

You'll test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system and diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

You'll inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes

What you’ll bring

- Do you have a good understanding of the current Wiring Regulations?
- Do you hold a current SJIB grade card or equivalent?
- Have you got proven experience in testing, calibration, installation, repair and inspection of all flow, monitoring and analytical instruments?
- Are you someone who has the ability to work efficiently in a team environment, and to manage Clients?
- Do you have a good Working knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures?
- Due to the nature of the role ideally we'd like you to have a water industry background along with having CompEx Gas & Vapours (Ex01-04), Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-52) and are you confined space trained? - These aren't essential but desired.
