What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive teaching assistant who loves helping children to reach their potential. The ideal candidate would be well-organised, flexible and works well as part of a team.
This role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support the learning and progress of all pupils in the class as well as sometimes providing tailored 1:1 support to a child to help them develop greater independence in their learning.
What the school offers its staff
We are a very close knit, social, supportive and child-centred team who work together well. One of the school's focus areas for the next academic year is to empower teaching assistants to take ownership of their professional development and engage in personalised projects and training to develop their practice.
There is the opportunity for the right candidate to take on an additional 11 hours a week supporting our wraparound care provision.
Visits to the school are welcomed, interviews will take place on Tuesday 15th July.
Commitment to safeguarding
Oxfordshire Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All users are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.
