The Role:

If so, we want to hear from you! We are excited to be forming a brand-new Pastoral Team at our vibrant Hackney sixth form campus, and this is your opportunity to be at the heart of it. As Lead Pastoral Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering high-quality tutorial and enrichment provision that supports our learners’ development, wellbeing, and success.
Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will lead and support a team of Pastoral Tutors, ensuring consistency and excellence in the delivery of tutorial and enrichment activities across the campus. You will be responsible for scheduling and overseeing the tutorial programme, monitoring key performance indicators, and working closely with curriculum teams, senior leaders, and external partners to ensure that the pastoral provision reflects the unique context of our Hackney campus. Alongside your leadership duties, you will also maintain a reduced caseload of students, delivering engaging group tutorials and one-to-one sessions that promote personal development, academic progress, and positive progression. You will play a key role in safeguarding, student support, and enrichment, helping to create a vibrant and inclusive college experience.
Who You Are:
• A strong background in pastoral care or student support
• Experience working with young people in an educational setting
• Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
• A commitment to equality, safeguarding, and student wellbeing
• A Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or willingness to work towards it)
