The school wishes to appoint a School Library Assistant for 17.5 hours per week (Wednesday 9.15 to 11.15am, Thursdays and Fridays from 8am to 4pm), term time only to join our team in a busy, vibrant school library. We are looking for someone with a passion for literature and learning who wants to inspire this in young people. A friendly and approachable manner is essential together with excellent communication and IT skills, the ability to work well in a small team, a can-do attitude to challenges and a forward-thinking approach.
The salary range for a qualified Librarian is NJC Points 12 - 17 (£27,711- £30,060) pro rata and for a Library Assistant NJC Points 7 - 11 (£25,584 - £27,269) pro rata. Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School is a very successful comprehensive with excellent results at GCSE and at A Level. It sits at the heart of the local community with extensive links to the surrounding area. We are a large school of 1525 students with 265 in the Sixth Form. The school is within easy commuting distance of Bristol and Gloucester being just 10 minutes from Junction 14 of the M5.
