HLTA (with pastoral responsibility)
32.5 hours per week
Fixed Term until 31/08/2026
Grade 8 £31,586 to £34,314 FTE (£23,863 to £25,925 pro rata) per annum
Meadowbrook Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team on a fixed term basis from 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2026.
The total hours for this role are 32.5 hours per week which will be worked Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 15:30pm (which includes a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak). The successful candidate will work term time only plus inset days.
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, reliable and caring team member who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to establish good working relationships with Class Teachers, children and parents. Please note this role also involves the responsibility of being Attendance Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have confidence in covering classes for a range of year groups (essential)
• Have Level 2 “Supporting Teaching & Learning” in Schools or equivalent qualification
• Be able to meet national standards for HLTA’s based on previous experience, training and qualification (if candidates do not hold the HLTA qualification they must be willing to work towards this)
• Have experience of working with pupils in a range of year groups.
• Have Maths & English at GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent qualification
• Be trained in ELSA and Sand Tray Therapy (desirable)
