Solutions4Health are delighted to be offering the role of Stop Smoking Advisor Mobile Clinic at Bristol. This is a Permanent job with a salary of £27000 depending on experience. JOB SUMMARY Solutions4Health is an innovative company with a passion and a track record for tackling health inequalities. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Stop Smoking Advisor who will motivate and support our clients in achieving their goal to stop smoking. As a Mobile Clinic Stop Smoking Advisor, you will deliver a client-led smoking cessation treatment plan via one-to-one, drop-in, or using telephone support depending on the needs of the client and monitor outcomes of treatment programmes for their effectiveness. Your main role will involve stop smoking interventions on the go using our dedicated vehicle customised as a mobile clinic where the front cabin is for driver only back cabin is fully functional for 121 client interventions. This service will meet the needs of local communities and reduce health and social inequalities and requires travel to clinics in Bristol, at varied locations. All essential training will be provided to the right candidate. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to drive a large ambulance sized vehicle with manual transmission Must be able to explain to clients the principles of Stop Smoking Services to enable informed choice of stopping smoking. Ability to motivate and empower clients to make behaviour changes. Attention to detail and record-keeping with comprehensive data entry skills Target driven with specific attention to personal and team targets Devise and deliver a client-led treatment plan in accordance with national and local guidelines, effectively and professionally including Carbon Monoxide monitoring, to comply with NICE guidance and a comprehensive account of weekly interventions. Must be able to plan and organise own workload, this will include the management of a caseload Deliver one-to-one, drop in, or group sessions, which will have an emphasis on supporting clients from target communities Provide a high quality, efficient service throughout a diverse range of community settings and may include the use of a mobile clinic. Manage conflict effectively either in a group setting or with individual clients. Monitor outcomes of treatment programmes set for individual clients for their effectiveness and update the manager appropriately. The advisor may potentially be required to work with complex health needs concerning behaviour change, mental health and drugs and alcohol In partnership with the line manager develop new service initiatives, based on periodic impact needs assessments. Develop and maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders and partners. Ensure a commitment to own personal development by keeping up to date with research and best practices. Provide cover for team members as and when required at short notice Attend team meetings and actively participate in promotional events and campaigns across the target area Have a manual driving license and be willing to drive to clinics. To drive a company mobile clinic (long-wheelbase vehicle) when necessary. Ensure a commitment to their own personal development by keeping up to date with research and best practice. Carry out other duties relevant to the wider service that require support.
