Birkwood Primary School is a happy and successful school committed to delivering high standards. We are looking to appoint 2 apprentices to work across school supporting our teachers and children.

We are looking for someone to be an inspirational role model who can actively support our vision and
ethos - ‘The Birkwood Way’ where children will:
· Do the Right Thing
· Acquire a depth of knowledge
· Experience Leadership, Collaboration and develop independence
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated person. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, be able to work as part of a team and use their initiative.
Applicants must have:
· A desire to work with children, including those with special educational needs.
· Four GCSEs Grade 3 or above (including English and Maths), or appropriate equivalents
· Willingness to undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship
· Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
· The ability to use basic technology to support teaching & learning
Visits to school with the Headteacher are welcomed.
The current rate of pay for Barnsley Council apprentices is £8.60 per hour which differs from the national minimum wage for an apprentice.
