What is the job role?

In Coventry, we are working hard to build something special. Children and families are at the heart of everything we do, and we believe they deserve the best outcomes. Children’s Services provides a wide range of statutory and non-statutory duties, from Early Help Services, through to children who are looked after.

We are at the very heart of Children’s Services in Coventry, working with colleagues at all levels across the service to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families across the City.

We are looking for people with potential, enthusiasm, a flexible approach and ready to develop their knowledge & skills. We value commitment and efficiency in action, a willingness to take the initiative and a mind open to new challenges.

When you join our service, you’ll be working alongside people who are passionate about what they do and determined to make a difference.

This role will be based in the Youth Justice Service, which includes working with Multi-Agency Safeguarding Teams. It is a fast-paced, energetic and exciting area to work in, where you will be part of a close-knit team.

In this role, you will be responsible for handling calls from both professionals and members of the public, actioning and responding to emails, minuting varied professional meetings, updating case management systems and working in a fast-paced environment. You will promote a positive working culture where Children are at the heart of everything we do.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
