Start Date: 3rd September 2025
Salary: £24,331 (FTE) We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team at Manorfield Primary & Nursery School. This is a rewarding opportunity to support our pupils both academically and emotionally within a supportive and inclusive primary school setting.Role Overview:
• Mornings: You will be class-based in Year 5, working alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning. Your role will include providing targeted academic support to individuals and small groups to help raise achievement and engagement.
• Afternoons: You will work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils, providing wellbeing and pastoral support. This will involve delivering activities and interventions that support social-emotional development, positive behaviour, and resilience.Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Support children with a range of academic needs, helping to adapt and deliver differentiated learning tasks.
• Provide emotional and social support to pupils who may face challenges in accessing learning.
• Deliver structured wellbeing interventions and activities to support mental health and emotional regulation.
• Monitor and report on progress and behaviour to the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.We Are Looking for Someone Who:
• Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a school setting.
• Understands the importance of supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
• Has a calm, nurturing approach and strong interpersonal skills.
• Is proactive, flexible, and a team player.
• Has a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning) or equivalent experience.We Offer:
