We are working with an excellent SEMH school in Newham who are looking to appoint a new behaviour Mentor
The students range in ability, and the school believe that all students should make measurable progress from their initial starting point.
This is an exciting role and the school are looking to interview w/c 30th June 2025.
In order to apply for this role you must have had previous experience of working with SEND.
The role includes:
- Work with individuals or groups of pupils to address targets identified in pupils' individual education plans
- Promote and reinforce pupils' self-esteem, independence and participation within the school community
- Show sensitivity to the issues surrounding students who may exhibit challenging behaviour, are disaffected, have learning difficulties and complex needs
- Participate in the planning process as directed by class teachers
- Assist in the delivery of intervention and support programmes
- Provide assistance as required in the development of learning resources
- Provide physical assistance where necessary, which may include intimate and personal care
- Support pupils on off-site visits and independent travel
