Crynodeb

Severn Wye is looking for a caring, confident individual to support people in fuel poverty and promote energy efficiency.

This part-time, home-based role involves extensive travel across South or North Powys. You’ll work directly with people in their homes and at community events, helping them manage their energy use, access support, and understand their options.

As a Community-based Energy Adviser, you'll support individuals and families who face barriers to energy services and may be in fuel poverty. You’ll help clients reduce energy debt, access funding, and engage with energy-saving technology. This is a demanding but highly rewarding role, where your work will have a measurable impact on people’s quality of life and wellbeing.

You’ll be a trusted, positive ally, empowering people who feel overwhelmed by energy issues and often face multiple challenges. Severn Wye will cover the cost of the enhanced DBS check required for this role.

Why join Severn Wye?

We’re passionate about what we do, and we offer a relaxed, flexible and supportive working environment. Our team is made up of dedicated, knowledgeable people who care deeply about sustainability and social justice.

You’ll receive full training, 24 days annual leave (rising to 29), plus bank holidays (pro-rata), and access to benefits including Group Life Assurance, a 7% employer pension contribution (when you contribute 5%), employee discounts, and regular social events.

If you’re looking for a meaningful role in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.
