Our Engineering department is expanding and we are excited to announce that we are looking for an additional team member to join
the department as a Lecturer in Engineering on a part time basis (0.5)



We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Engineering to join our dedicated team.

The Role



Macclesfield College is committed to delivering outstanding education and vocational training. The post-holder will contribute to
the delivery and assessment of practical engineering qualifications, particularly focusing on workshop-based learning. This role
is essential in supporting the increased curriculum hours within the Engineering department.




The successful candidate will support learners in achieving academic success and developing industry-ready skills, particularly
through high-quality, practical sessions delivered in the engineering workshop.



Main Duties for this role include



1. To plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes across a range of levels using the appropriate college format
to ensure effective learning.



2. To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.



3. To assess accurately learners’ work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure
learners achieve their qualifications.



4. To comply with all college quality assurance procedures as prescribed by the Deputy Principal to ensure the achievement of all
internal and external audits.



5. To liaise with external agencies, including validating bodies, employers and placement providers.



6. To take personal and professional responsibility for keeping up-to-date in the subject area.



7. To participate fully in residentials, educational visits and work placements where these form part of a course programme.
