An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Community Safety Team at Chelmsford City Council. A Community Safety Officer contributes to our community safety and public health projects in partnership with other organisations ensuring the objectives of the team are met, on time, within budget and meet policy requirements. The successful applicant will also play a part in providing community safety related education initiatives and undertaking related projects.

In this varied role you will be a member of the team responsible for the way the Council carries out its anti-social behaviour case management function and deal with a caseload in this area. Applicants will have knowledge and experience of using powers under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Applicants will be excellent team players and organised, including the ability to manage and coordinate large scale events and have experience of working within a public sector partnerships environment. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills when dealing with staff, partners and members of the public as well as being able to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate strong customer service skills.
