Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to help deliver the Love Your Chelmsford programme by working with residents, community groups, schools and businesses to improve the environmental quality of our city and encourage people to live a greener lifestyle.
The successful applicant will undertake a range of projects and initiatives with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improve local environmental quality to help address the Climate and Ecological Emergency. A strong focus will be on reducing the amount of waste generated and encourage reuse and recycling wherever possible, ensuring that streets are well cared for, whilst encouraging ‘green life-style’ changes for the benefit of current and future generations.
The post holder will be required to work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, some late evening and weekend work will be required.
