The Workplace Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of a designated workplace area, ensuring a safe, productive, and efficient environment for all employees.
This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on maintaining high standards of workplace conduct and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Workplace Management: Oversee the daily operations of the assigned workplace area, including maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and functionality of the space. This may involve managing contractors for maintenance and repairs.Health & Safety: Enforce company health and safety policies and procedures, conducting regular inspections and addressing any potential hazards promptly. This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
Employee Relations: Foster a positive and productive work environment by promoting teamwork, resolving conflicts, and addressing employee concerns effectively. This includes providing guidance and support to team members.Security: Maintain security protocols within the workplace, ensuring access control and monitoring for any suspicious activity. This may involve working with security personnel.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, including health and safety, data protection, and equality and diversity.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on workplace activities, including incidents, maintenance requests, and employee performance.Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources effectively within the assigned workplace area, including equipment, supplies, and space.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in workplace efficiency, safety, and employee well-being, and implement appropriate changes.Training & Development: May be involved in providing training to employees on workplace procedures and safety protocols.Emergency Response: Respond to workplace emergencies according to established protocols, ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees.Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a workplace environment.Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organisational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
