We are currently partnering with a leading social housing provider who is committed to delivering safe, high-quality homes and outstanding service to their residents. We're seeking an experienced and proactive Disrepair Manager/Surveyor who thrives on making a real difference in communities by driving repairs and disrepair case management forward with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of disrepair cases in accordance with Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act.
- Conduct thorough property inspections, diagnosing and reporting on building defects with precision.
- Work closely with legal and housing management teams to develop case strategies and provide expert evidence in court where required.
- Manage and oversee contractors and internal teams to ensure timely and costeffective remedial works.
- Maintain clear, comprehensive records and prepare reports and schedules of works.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and contractual obligations relating to housing disrepair.
- Act as a key point of contact for residents, handling sensitive complaints with empathy and professionalism
Key Knowledge:
- Social Housing, Building Contractor and local authority industry knowledge
- IT and Excel Literate
- Knowledge and experience of housing disrepair legislation and practice
