Are you passionate about education and keen to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in the classroom before embarking on a teaching career?
Several well-regarded secondary schools across Cambridge, all part of a respected and expanding Multi Academy Trust, are looking for high-achieving graduates to join their teams as Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants from September 2025.
This is a paid, full-time role that provides the perfect springboard for aspiring teachers. You’ll support experienced teachers, work directly with students, and gain an invaluable insight into life in a secondary school setting.

Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

What You’ll Gain:-

Key Responsibilities:-
Supporting learning in your specialist subject, or more broadly across the curriculum

Delivering small group or one-to-one interventions to boost student progress

Helping to prepare teaching resources and contribute to lesson planning

Supporting classroom management and promoting a positive learning environment

Gaining an in-depth understanding of school operations, policies, and educational strategies
Who We’re Looking For:-
Final-year students or recent graduates with a 2:1 or above
-
Preferably from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university

A genuine interest in education and a desire to work with young people

Enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive team players

Passionate about one or more of the subject areas listed above

Experience working with children or young people (e.g. mentoring, tutoring, coaching) is a plus, but not essential
