Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant – Cambridge

Are you graduating in 2025 with a 2:1 or above from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university?

Are you enthusiastic about education and eager to gain hands-on classroom experience before beginning a teacher training programme?

A number of well-regarded secondary schools across Cambridge, all part of a growing and respected Multi Academy Trust, are offering an excellent opportunity for high-achieving graduates to join as Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants from September 2025.

This paid, full-time role offers valuable experience working alongside skilled educators, supporting students, and developing a deep understanding of life in a successful secondary school.

  • Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)


  • Mathematics


  • Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish preferred; some French)

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Supporting teaching and learning in your subject area or across the wider curriculum


      • Working with students individually or in small groups to support engagement and progress

      • Gaining insights into school operations, teaching strategies, and educational best practice


        Who We’re Looking For:
        • Final-year students or recent graduates with a 2:1 or above


        • Ideally from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university


        • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people


        • Proactive, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals


        • Strong interest in one or more of the subject areas listed above


        • Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, mentoring) is beneficial, but not essential
