A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Langport, part of a respected Multi Academy Trust, is offering a fantastic opportunity for high-achieving graduates to join as Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants starting in September 2025.
This is a paid, full-time role designed to provide hands-on experience in the classroom. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers to support student learning, build your teaching skills, and gain valuable insight into the workings of a successful secondary school.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Supporting teaching and learning in your subject area, or more generally as required

Working with students one-on-one or in small groups to improve understanding and engagement

Assisting in lesson planning and classroom preparation

Supporting positive behaviour and contributing to a constructive learning environment

Developing a deep understanding of school operations, policy, and practice
Who We’re Looking For:
-
Final-year students or recent graduates with a 2:1 or above
-
Preferably from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university

A strong interest in education and working with young people
-
Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive

Passionate about one or more of the listed subject areas
-
Any prior experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is a bonus – but not essential
