Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Up to £600 per week | Full-time

Are you graduating in 2025 with a 2:1 or higher from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university?

Are you passionate about education and keen to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career?

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Langport, part of a respected Multi Academy Trust, is offering a fantastic opportunity for high-achieving graduates to join as Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants starting in September 2025.

This is a paid, full-time role designed to provide hands-on experience in the classroom. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers to support student learning, build your teaching skills, and gain valuable insight into the workings of a successful secondary school.

Subjects We’re Especially Keen to Support:

  • Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)


  • Mathematics


  • Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish preferred; some French)


  • Geography


  • Nutrition / Food Technology


  • English


  • History

      Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

      • Supporting teaching and learning in your subject area, or more generally as required


      • Working with students one-on-one or in small groups to improve understanding and engagement


      • Assisting in lesson planning and classroom preparation


      • Supporting positive behaviour and contributing to a constructive learning environment


      • Developing a deep understanding of school operations, policy, and practice


        Who We’re Looking For:

        • Final-year students or recent graduates with a 2:1 or above


        • Preferably from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university


        • A strong interest in education and working with young people


        • Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive


        • Passionate about one or more of the listed subject areas


        • Any prior experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is a bonus – but not essential
