Crynodeb
Support the critical care nurse in the maintenance of personal hygiene for patients. Assist the bedside nurse in the prevention of pressure area damage through good care delivery. Raise alert if you discover an emergency situation and assist under direction. Maintaining and promoting patients privacy and dignity. Assist with general tidiness and presentation of ward/department environment. Support patients when transferring between departments. Ensure equipment/devices are cleaned where appropriate and kept on chare between patient usage and all equipment is handled accordingly to Trust/ward policy and procedures. Applicants must also have good written and verbal skills, a patient and caring attitude and be able to work as part of a team. Assist in undertaking activities of living in accordance with the care plan prescribed by qualified staff. These duties will include the delivery of hygiene care, nutrition and hydration, continence care, pressure area care, mobility and rehabilitation and offer psychological support.
