Hours 37.5 hours per week, various shifts available. All MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working.

You will be required to also work closely with clinical service teams and our hospital visitors.
Perform a wide range of duties connected to the provision of support services within the Trust and ensure a high standard of service delivery in relation to the support services functions.
Your primary duties will include the day-to-day management and supervision of a team of support (Portering) staff, monitoring response times and completion of jobs within the time frames stated in the Service Level Agreement.
Shift Pattern:
o 07.00 – 15.00
o 09.00 – 22.00
o 15.00 – 23.00
o 23.00 – 07.00
Two out of four weekends off
The successful applicants will carry out a variety of cleaning tasks with full training provided.

Liaising with the service users to ensure practices and procedures are maintained to meet demands of the service users and comply with legislation.
Post holders will be required to work without supervision and use a high level of initiative in decision making.

Main duties and responsibilities
Organisation and forward planning of rosters, ensuring consistent staff levels across all shifts.
Manage allocation of staff to areas of responsibility, by forward and daily planning of available staff. Complete worked hours tracking documentation to accurately reflect staff allocation.
Other Duties
Understand and manage situations which may arise as a result of stress related issues when dealing with patients, visitors, and staff. Such incidents will require high levels of diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills.
Undertake any training and personal development as required in relation to the job, to meet the demands of the post and changes in law.
