SRG are working with a well-established, family-run business specialising in waste management and environmental services. With decades of industry experience, they are deeply committed to their values and their people. They are now looking for an experienced Technical Assessor/ Senior Technical Assessor to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the compliance and classification of waste following the relevant regulatory guidelines. This would suit candidates with 2+ years' experience as a technical assessor at a waste company.

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-2:30pm. 24 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays.

Role / Description

  • Conduct technical assessments of waste management operations to ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations.
  • Evaluate applications for permits, accreditations, or certifications related to waste processing, recycling, and disposal.
  • Provide expert advice on waste classification, handling, treatment, and disposal methods.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal teams to ensure consistent interpretation of waste legislation and best practices.
  • Analysis of information to determine waste transportation methods (ADR/IMDG regs)
  • Work alongside DGSA's, management, sales and chemists to facilitate smooth running of inbound and outbound waste streams.

Requirements

  • Minimum HNC in Chemistry
  • Recent experience working as a technical assessor in the waste industry
  • DGSA - preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of IOSH, ADR, WM3, IMDG and other waste regulations
