Crynodeb
As a Single Living Accommodation (SLA) Building Manager (BM) your responsibility is to inspect the designated buildings and immediate surrounds for any damages and defects and to ensure the areas are maintained to the required standards. As BM you will be required to compile, document, and maintain the associated defect logs and registers that underpin the accounting of SLA buildings condition and raise awareness of potential Infrastructure problems and risks.
The designated buildings will predominantly be in the living site area, but also includes some living accommodation across the station.
Experience and passion for collaboration is important to ensure all areas of the SLA are maintained to a satisfactory standard, coupled with the ability to be individually motivated to support the wider team objectives.
The successful candidate will be required to prioritise time spent alternating between office-based work and estate tasks. The role can be physically demanding, will require multi-tasking and some manual handling. As BM you will be expected to carry out non-specialised minor maintenance to increase infrastructure life expectancy and resource, and in conjunction with the Buildings Estate Deputy Manager, you will ensure contractors and visitors receive relevant safety briefing, and information required to undergo their tasks.
