What skills and experience we're looking for
St Michael’s is a large city school with a village school feel and a very big welcome. The school has 420 pupils and is located on a large plot with fabulous outdoor space for children to engage with learning outdoors, whilst having plenty of space to enjoy break and lunch times with friends. The school is proud to serve the community with links to the local church and charities. The staff at St Michael’s CofE Primary School are a positive, welcoming, and hard-working team, dedicated to the wellbeing of and outcome for their pupils.
The successful candidate will:
• Be effective at developing caring and positive relationships with pupils and have the presence to manage all classes in the school.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, assist in the planning cycle and help prepare of resources. Your own PPA time will be given to you.
• Be dedicated to providing meaningful and effective cover and to removing barriers to learning for pupils.
• Have high expectations of themselves and pupils with a positive, can do and proactive nature.
• Be happy to support the Church of England ethos of our school though our school values.
