We are seeking a dedicated and supportive Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant to work alongside teaching staff in providing high-quality support to pupils in a mixed-age Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 class. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive both academically and socially. Starting September 2025.
Duties as Year 2/3 Teacher:
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and encourage progress
Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and displays
Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment
Support pupils' emotional and social development, encouraging independence
Provide feedback on pupil progress and maintain accurate support records
Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Have experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally in Years 2 and/or 3
Be adaptable, patient, and committed to supporting children of varying needs and abilities
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant.
Be confident in following teacher direction while also using initiative when needed
Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or be working towards one)
