Deputy Nurse Manager (Supernumerary) – Monday to Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, supernumerary)
Salary: £47,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established nursing home, is looking for a Deputy Nurse Manager to join their leadership team. This is a supernumerary role, working Monday to Friday, offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse leader to contribute to the ongoing success and quality of care delivered within the home.

As the Deputy Nurse Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Home Manager with clinical oversight, staff supervision, and ensuring high standards of person-centred care. This position blends nursing, leadership, and strategic involvement to help shape a positive and safe environment for both residents and staff.

What We’re Looking For

  • NMC-registered Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Proven leadership experience within a nursing home or similar care setting.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding care and leading by example.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to inspire, coach, and motivate others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in day-to-day clinical and operational leadership.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the nursing and care teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Oversee care assessments, care planning, and service delivery to ensure safe, dignified, and person-centred care.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to drive clinical outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to marketing and financial objectives, supporting occupancy growth and cost management.
  • Promote a supportive, inclusive culture for both residents and the staff team.
  • Step in with hands-on clinical care when required to uphold the home’s high standards.
