Location: Southwark Integrated Waste Management Facility, 43 Devon Street

What you'll be doing;

  • Preparing and processing payroll data for agency and staff; inputting timesheets and expenses, maintaining attendance and absence records, processing HR forms and recording all information onto company systems.
  • Providing full administrative support to managers for personnel matters such as grievance and disciplinary action; booking meetings, taking accurate minutes, communicating with all parties and updating all records on ER CaseLogs.
  • Maintenance of the Southwark Training Matrix, updating with details of personnel and training requirements, and coordination of training for all operations.
  • Perform relevant duties in relation to starters and leavers, including processing and checking Right to Work documentation; management of personnel files and staff details on Workday.
  • Prepare documents ensuring consistent standards are applied to all aspects of HR issues, in line with corporate policy and GDPR.
  • Dealing with information requests and documentation from management, internal departments and third parties; drafting standard and non standard correspondence.
  • Assisting Southwark managers with the management of staffing/performance issues, including analysis of performance data, liaising with internal departments as necessary and providing support with follow-up actions.
  • Arranging and coordinating Occupational Health scheduling and physio appointments.
  • Provide support and cover for core support functions as directed by the Support Manager.
  • To carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by line management.



What we're looking for;

Essential:

  • GCSE level Maths and English or equivalent, with Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Strong IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft/Google packages.
  • Excellent organisational, adept with using a flexible approach and exceptional attention to detail skills.
  • Professional and confidential conduct, with polite and assertive verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and ability to work to strict time control constraints.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain solid relationships with the team and stakeholders.



Desirable:

  • Strong and current working knowledge of Workday HR and payroll systems.
  • Experience of working within a busy office environment.
  • Awareness of GDPR legislation and regulations.
