The Role – Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant

Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm
• Earn up to £600 per week (paid weekly)
• Support students aged 11–16 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, social communication difficulties, and emotional regulation challenges
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions focused on behaviour, communication, and engagement
• Assist in the implementation of individualised learning plans and behaviour strategies
• Work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and external professionals such as educational psychologists and therapists
• Help create a supportive and structured environment where all students can thrive

Candidate Profile – Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a passionate graduate who is:

• Educated to degree level with a 2:1 or above in Psychology (or a closely related field)
• Deeply interested in the intersection between mental health, education, and behaviour support
• Confident, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships with students and staff
• Resilient, calm under pressure, and adaptable to a fast-paced school environment
• Previous experience working with young people or vulnerable groups (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, care work, youth work, SEN support) is beneficial but not essential
