Your Role in Building Brighter Futures
We wish to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational
SEN Teaching Assistant to support the EYFS SEN Provision Unit Teacher with a class of eight EYFS & KS1 pupils within the SEN Provision Unit. At Northgate we are a happy and forward-thinking school. We are a one-form entry school with an all-year round Nursery. There is a strong, collegiate and supportive working relationship amongst the staff team in each year group.
Purpose of the role of a SEN Teaching Assistant (see the JD for accountabilities):
Under the supervision of the class teacher and/or SENCO, to undertake a range of directed activities to support the educational and development needs of pupils. This will involve assisting the class teacher with the organisational and maintenance of classroom resources and to contribute to the supervision and welfare of pupils within the SEN Provision Unit and main school.

Experience of working with children with Autism and/or EHCPs is desirable
Have the ability to establish good relationships within the team, with other colleagues and with pupils
