Tor View School is recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join their catering team! We are looking for passionate people, who can support the provision of the catering operation assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene and who can promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People. In this role, you will under direction, take responsibly for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures and assist the Chef with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these. Hours to be complete between 10am and 2pm.

Tor View School is a very special school that enables young people with with Autism, trauma related interruptions, communication needs and learning difficulties to access an appropriate curriculum in a wonderful environment in the heart of Devon. With typical class sizes of 4 we are able to provide the care, attention, time and dedication to all of the young people to enable them to access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations.

Previous experience preparing and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment advantageous but not essential. All applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
Main duties:
* Assists with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company's Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures.
* Under direction, takes responsibility for parts of the catering operation.
* As part of the catering team, the role holder will be required to ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company's AssuredSafe Catering policies and procedures.
