Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Support children in daily activities, including education, leisure, and personal care.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all residents.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers and educators.
- Document and report on the progress and needs of each child.
- Engage in training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, social work, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support children.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
