About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. This role is perfect for someone with a solid understanding of quantity surveying and a passion for cost and value management in construction. With the support of senior colleagues, you’ll contribute to delivering successful, compliant projects and play a key part in engaging and managing our supply chain.

What you'll be doing

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting cost engineering by gathering data and conducting cost research

  • Measuring, recording, and valuing work in line with appropriate procedures

  • Assisting with estimating by preparing and managing pre- and post-contract documentation

  • Contributing to short-term and long-term planning and understanding programme formats

  • Using our ERP system for project tracking and cost management

  • Preparing cost/value reconciliations and statements

  • Supporting procurement activities and maintaining accurate records

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A BSc in Quantity Surveying (or working towards completion)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A focus on achieving results and continuous improvement

  • Some relevant industry experience and knowledge of QS responsibilities
