About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. This role is perfect for someone with a solid understanding of quantity surveying and a passion for cost and value management in construction. With the support of senior colleagues, you’ll contribute to delivering successful, compliant projects and play a key part in engaging and managing our supply chain.
What you'll be doing
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting cost engineering by gathering data and conducting cost research

Measuring, recording, and valuing work in line with appropriate procedures

Assisting with estimating by preparing and managing pre- and post-contract documentation

Contributing to short-term and long-term planning and understanding programme formats

Using our ERP system for project tracking and cost management

Preparing cost/value reconciliations and statements

Supporting procurement activities and maintaining accurate records
Who we're looking for
We’re looking for someone with:

A BSc in Quantity Surveying (or working towards completion)
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A focus on achieving results and continuous improvement
-
Some relevant industry experience and knowledge of QS responsibilities
