The Role:
As the Design & Technology Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the DT department. Your work will directly impact students' ability to explore design, engineering, graphics, and food technology with confidence and creativity. This is a full-time position, starting from September.

Requirements
- Relevant DT or workshop technician experience (school-based or equivalent).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A passion for education and inspiring young people.
Key Skills and Qualities
- Strong knowledge of tools, machinery, and workshop equipment.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in handling materials such as wood, plastic, metal, and textiles.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Practical problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and resources for practical lessons.
- Maintain and repair tools and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and order materials when required.
- Set up machinery and demonstrations for lessons.
- Assist teaching staff during practical sessions.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain an organised and safe workshop environment.
- Provide technical advice and support to both staff and students.
- Support extra-curricular clubs and competitions.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and safety checks.
