Are you a leader with a proven track record in securing bids and handling strategic projects? IEG seeks a Group Head of Strategic Projects to join our successful team. The ideal candidate will lead on securing external funding aligned to Group priorities, oversee high-quality bids, and support strategic partnerships and sector recognition.

What you will do?
• Support the development, management and leadership of a project delivery team
• Secure income for existing provision where funding has moved to a competitive model (e.g. apprenticeships, adult skills post-devolution)
• Identifying opportunities through research and intelligence gathering and bid writing for funding for innovative projects that extend the Group’s impact
• Contribute to sector profile through award submissions, competitions and external recognition
• Procurement and portal management
• Quality Assurance and Compliance as required
What are we looking for?
• Education at Degree level or equivalent qualification in an Information Systems related subject along with a Project management qualification or relevant experience
• A seasoned leader with a proven track record in bid writing, tender submissions, or grant applications, ideally within FE, HE, or a related sector
• Proven experience of developing and implementing systems to track project performance and funding compliance
• Experience using and managing procurement portals (e.g., Pro Contract, In-Tend, Delta)
• Understanding of project governance frameworks and how they apply in a college or public sector environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating strategy into effective action
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities
• A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in education
• Evidence of a personal commitment to continuous professional development and training
