Further details about the role

For the academic year 2025/26, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Level 3 teaching assistant with HLTA hours to provide exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for our children. Due to falling numbers, this post will be temporary until August 31st 2026 initially.

The successful candidate will support teaching and learning within the classroom, as well as cover in key stage 2 for PPA, subject leadership and occasional sickness absence (this cover will be paid at HLTA rate). They and will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the curriculum and model good classroom practice at all times.

This role would suit a recent education graduate seeking further experience in a school setting.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose any cautions or convictions prior to interview. The amendments to the ROA Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are therefore not subject to disclosure to employers. The successful candidate will complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Children’s Barred List check.
