We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor to help create a safe working environment for their colleagues across Defence Digital.
You will be responsible for:
Providing health and safety advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
Report writing and the creation of an audit action plan with follow up procedures
Managing the provision of the Defence Digital (DD) Health and Safety Audit Programme, including identifying themes, arranging audit visits, creating question sets, collating evidence, and presenting findings.
Supporting the development of the safety management systems (SMS) and relevant Health and Safety processes, procedures, and documentation.
Managing non-conformance identified during Health and Safety audits and inspections.
Working closely with DD Business Areas to develop and agree suitable mitigation activity.
Compiling reports for upwards reporting based on audit and assurance activity, accident and incident, near-miss and other occurrences for use by the Head of Establishment, business areas and DD senior leadership.
Audit trend or theme identification based on accident and incident reports, claims data and other audit intelligence.
Providing progress reports on a regular basis.
Recording issues, risks and escalation through the required governance structure when required.
Undertaking learning and development and upskilling as required.
