This role is pivotal in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people with complex needs, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and staff performance in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
Requirements:
Essential:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
At least 2 years’ experience working in a children’s residential setting.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a supervisory or management role.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection procedures, and relevant legislation.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure, make informed decisions, and manage conflict.
Willingness to be part of an on-call rota and work flexibly as required.
Desirable:
Previous experience as a Registered Manager.
Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) or other complex needs.
Full UK driving license.
