Crynodeb
The school’s strength is its community: our staff, who are professional, passionate, and brilliantly collegiate (CPD is massively important); our pupils, who are inquisitive, challenging learners with a spring in their step, and our parents, who are hugely supportive, appreciative and ambitious.
We are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our Religious Studies & Humanities team on a fixed-term contract basis to cover a period of maternity leave. We invite enthusiastic and team-oriented applicants with a strong understanding and knowledge of the GCSE syllabus across relevant exam boards. The ideal candidate will be a specialist Religious Studies & Humanities teacher who possesses an innovative approach to challenging and engaging pupils.
Applications are invited from teachers who are able to demonstrate the following:
- QTS or PGCE qualification
- Ability to teach up to GCSE
- Willingness to become fully involved in the life of the school
Dulwich Prep & Senior offers excellent facilities and resources for its staff and pupils, as well as supportive and energised colleagues, a commitment to professional development and staff wellbeing opportunities with small class sizes.
Applications for this role must be completed via an application form, along with a cover letter explaining your suitability for this role and a completed Equal Opportunities form, which should be sent to Tamsin Hutson, HR Manager, at recruitment@dulwichprepsenior.org.uk
- Closing Date: Tuesday 24 June, 9.00am
- Interviews: Tuesday 1 July 2025
- Start Date: Monday 3 November 2025
Interviews must be conducted in person, not online. Observing a teacher deliver a lesson in person allows us to assess how well a teacher can engage with our pupils and adapt to our curriculum, as well as capture the nuances of classroom management and nonverbal communication.
We reserve the right to appoint at any time during the recruitment process.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo checks with past employers, online checks and an enhanced DBS check.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where all employees are valued and respected for their unique perspectives and contributions. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply for this position.
