Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise children in a nursery environment
-Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
-Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
-Implement daily routines and activities to support children's development
-Plan as part of a team and implement a curriculum programme, meeting the needs of individual children, supporting and enabling their learning.
-Keep abreast of early years local and national developments.
-Support children’s well-being meeting the needs of the individual child in accordance with our duty of care.
-Support and challenge children’s learning, through stimulating and purposeful learning situations indoors and outdoors to help children develop skills in the Prime and Specific Areas of Learning for children up to the age of five.
-Organise the learning environment to best enable children’s learning and encourage and extend children's questions and investigations (displays, artefacts/resources, furniture, etc.).
-Encourage the emotional, social, physical, creative and intellectual development of the children.
-Liaise with the SENCO and children’s keyworkers, and be committed to working in an environment which promotes inclusion.
-Contribute to the warm, supportive and caring environment for all children.
We are looking for L3 practitioners only. Please note that St Luke's operate a safer recruitment policy and all staff will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
We open Mon-Fri from 7.30am -6pm (main session 8-5:30) and we remain open all year round.
