The Role:

Experienced groundworkers needed in Leeds! We have an immediate opening for skilled groundworkers to join a demolition project in Leeds City Centre.

This is a opportunity to work on a high-profile site with a reputable contractor, offering a competitive hourly rate and an ongoing temporary contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site preparation and clearance, including breaking out concrete and foundations.
  • Assisting with the safe dismantling and removal of structures.
  • Excavation work for new foundations, drainage, and utility routes.
  • Laying drainage systems, concreting, and general groundwork duties.
  • Operating various plant machinery (if ticketed and experienced).
  • Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with the site team, including demolition operatives, engineers, and site management.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Groundworker, ideally within a demolition or heavy civils environment.
  • Valid CSCS Card is essential.
  • Relevant plant operative tickets (e.g., Forward Tipping Dumper, Ride on Roller, 360 Excavator) are highly desirable and will command a higher rate.
