Helena Biosciences is an in Vitro Diagnostics manufacturer, developing equipment and software to diagnose blood diseases.
Due to promotion and expansion, we are recruiting a Software Support Coordinator ensure all software and hardware used in combination with Helena’s products is designed, tested, and implemented to the highest standards.
This position involves the customer installation, configuration, and support, with occasional travel required throughout the UK.
This position is situated within the Technical Services Department, reporting to the Technical Services Manager.
SOFTWARE SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Customer and Distributor Support
• Software Support
• Training – internal and external
• Complaints and Technical Support
Technical skills:
• HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in computer science or computer related field
• Strong knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems
• Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, WI-FI)
• Working knowledge of database setup and maintenance (Microsoft SQL / Access)
• Familiarity with MS Dynamics, MS Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud platforms
• Understanding of LIMS set up and communication protocols
• Experience in Cyber security essentials desirable but not essential
Soft Skills:
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to document processes effectively
• Full UK driving license
• Previous experience training others in a formal capacity
• Customer service skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Team oriented mindset
• Flexible
• Involves travel within the UK and International
This vacancy is permanent, full time Monday to Friday (daytime hours) and based at our Gateshead site.
Salary: Competitive Remuneration Package (negotiable depending upon skills and experience)
