Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead our Home. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our young people residing within our care with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and, or complex needs, utilising therapeutic approach such as PACE to ensure the best outcome and tailoring the needs to each individual young person.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experience Registered Manager to oversee our residential children's home. We are seeking someone who is compassionate leader whom is passionate about high-quality care, staff development and providing a nurturing environment for our young people. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of holding an Ofsted Registration, achieving outstanding outcomes with young people and managing children's homes. Or someone who has experience as a Deputy Manager.
About your role:
Your role will be managing the home, with the support from our management team and Responsible Individual team. You will lead a dedicated staff team, ensuring that young people received high quality care and setting high standards for both staff and the young people within our care.
Responsibilities
• Managing our Residential Children's Home ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations.
• Engaging with young people, setting examples and building excellent rapport.
• Writing care plans, managing referrals and placement and liaising with social workers and families.
• Leading and supporting a team, ensuring they are trained and supervised to a high standard.
• Acting as a safeguarding lead within the home and ensuring that safeguarding processes are followed.
• Ensuring the home remains a safe and nurturing environment for all young people.
• Managing challenging behaviours and ensuring positive outcomes for young people.
Requirements
• Experience managing children's homes with a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes for young people, or ready to take the next step from a Deputy Manager.
• At least 3 to 5 years experience working within a residential children's setting.
• Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and therapeutic practices.
• Hold or working towards a level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Management.
• Hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
• Full UK driving license.
• Ideally, experience of conducting fit-person interviews and hold a Ofted registration.
