Job Title: Supervisor - Disrepair & Minor Works (Social Housing)
Location: North London
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £40,000

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor operating within the social housing sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Supervisor to oversee disrepair cases and minor works projects across London.

This is a key operational role responsible for managing a team of operatives and subcontractors delivering responsive repairs, minor refurbishments, and disrepair remedial works in occupied properties. The ideal candidate will come from a trade background, hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade, and possess a Gold CSCS card.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and reputable contractor with a strong presence in the capital and a growing volume of housing maintenance contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of disrepair works and minor repairs/refurbishment projects in occupied social housing properties

  • Manage and coordinate operatives and subcontractors on multiple jobs across boroughs

  • Carry out pre- and post-inspections, diagnose repairs, and ensure work is completed to the correct standard

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures on all sites

  • Liaise with tenants, client representatives, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently and professionally

  • Maintain accurate job records, update works management systems, and monitor KPIs

  • Assist in planning works schedules and materials in line with priorities and budget

  • Ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality

  • Support operatives with technical guidance and act as a point of escalation for site issues

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven supervisory or management experience within social housing repairs/disrepair

  • Strong background in a relevant trade - NVQ Level 2 or higher is essential

  • Gold CSCS Card is required

  • Ability to manage multiple jobs and teams across different locations

  • Full UK driving licence (company van and fuel card provided)
