We are seeking a reliable, confident, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and forward-thinking team from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a secondary school setting, particularly if you are considering a future career in teaching. Duties as a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise lessons during the short-term absence of teaching staff
Deliver pre-set work to students and ensure good behaviour and focus
Manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space
Support students in completing tasks and responding to queries where appropriate
Liaise with teaching staff and provide feedback on student progress and behaviour
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills as Cover Supervisor.
Can manage a classroom calmly and effectively
Is flexible, adaptable, and professional at all times
Works well as part of a team and on their own initiative
Has experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
